Osteopathy uses a variety of treatments to ensure the correct alignment of your back and muscles, easing muscle tension to restore your body’s natural self-healing abilities.

Osteopathy eases pain, reduces swelling and improves mobility with gentle, manual techniques. Osteopathy treats the whole person and not just the areas causing symptoms, looking at emotional as well as physical aspects and the impact of stressful situations. It involves understanding the root cause (or causes) of your condition and helps the body heal itself more effectively by removing strain on muscles and joints. With added exercises and health advice, we aim to reduce the symptoms and improve your long-term quality of life.  Osteopathy can provide one-off relief from pain and dysfunction or help you to manage long-term (chronic) complaints. Treatment can often be very relaxing, however following an osteopathic treatment there may be some discomfort for 24 to 48 hours but this is just your body adapting to the changes that Osteopathy has made.

Osteopaths are statutorily regulated primary healthcare professionals and are trained to screen for medical conditions. They will tell you if you need to see another health professional such as a doctor or midwife
